The collared dove

The collared dove (Caloenas nicobarica) is, for me personally, one of the most beautiful birds in the world. It is mainly found in Asia, more precisely in the Nicobar Islands, Indonesia, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands and New Guinea.

Unfortunately, this beautiful bird is threatened by the illegal bird trade, habitat destruction, monocultures and illegal deforestation.
